Community Grants

Open Grant Round

We are currently accepting applications for small capital and revenue grants (£500 to £10,000) to help a wide range of local organisations to do good things in their communities. Small grant rounds are popular so this year we are focussing the funding on specific areas of work and we have also tiered the amount of funding that can be applied. If you are not sure if your project would fit the criteria or how much funding you can apply for please give us a call first.

Grants are available to support voluntary and community organisations based in the Foundation’s area of benefit which is the Borough of Scarborough, the Borough of Redcar and Cleveland, and the North York Moors National Park. Your project must benefit people living in this area.

Organisations can apply for grants of between £500 to £10,000. Please see the table in the grant guidance document for the maximum you can apply for in specific project categories. The total grant pot available is up to £200,000. An organisation may only submit one application between August and the final application date of noon on 21 November 2022. We will assess and award grants throughout this period and may have allocated all funding before we reach 21 November. We would then close the grant round early.

Your project will need to be completed and the grant spent within 12 months of receiving your grant offer. We will consider a longer grant offer of up to 12 months where our funding will be a contribution to a larger capital project.

Applicants are encouraged to contact the Foundation to have an informal chat to discuss their application if they are not sure it fits the criteria for this funding round or if you have any questions.
